Description
Inventory #IMG72284. There are only two trees in the little place called White Pocket. This is one of them. It sits high on the ridge, but behind the ridge is a small water pocket. In the morning sun, the tree reflected nicely in the water while the grasses caught the light.
White Pocket is a small area in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument along the northern edge of Arizona. It is an indentation (pocket) in the ground that catches water when it rains. Its base is beautiful, colorful sandstone, but the cap is white. When the cap wears away, the beautiful sandstone shows through in beautiful patterns.
